Guys Choice was a star-studded award show born from Spike’s early male-centric branding. As Spike evolved into a gender-balanced general entertainment destination, Guys Choice matured slightly into a celebration of iconic entertainers, athletes, and fan-favorite films.

The year Terrence and Taraji hosted, we had limited production resources so my creative approach was simple: Small space. Big energy.

We leaned into the playful antagonistic banter they shared on Empire, weaving it through Guys Choice wonderfully ridiculous award categories like Biggest Ass Kicker and Guy of The Year. 

These spots won exactly zero awards, and that’s okay. We had a hell of a good time making them.
